Welcome to FingerprintVS (https://fingerprintvs.com). By purchasing, accessing, or using our fingerprint verification system, software, or services (collectively “Services”), you agree to be bound by the terms outlined in this agreement.

1. Software Ownership & License

  • You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the software.
  • The software is licensed, not sold. All intellectual property remains the property of FingerprintVS.
  • You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, or resell the software.

2. User Responsibilities

By using our software, you agree to:

  • Maintain the security of your encryption keys and backup files.
  • Use the system only for lawful, authorized purposes.
  • Avoid unauthorized distribution or commercial resale.

3. Compliance with Laws

You are solely responsible for ensuring your use of biometric data complies with applicable local, state, federal, and international laws, including those governing:

  • Biometric data privacy (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, BIPA)
  • Criminal justice compliance
  • Secure data handling and consent requirements

4. No Cloud Storage by Default

Our system does not store biometric data in the cloud by default. Data is processed and stored locally unless users configure their own encrypted cloud solution.

5. Termination of Access

We reserve the right to suspend or revoke your access if:

  • You breach these Terms
  • Your account is involved in unlawful use
  • Payment disputes or chargebacks occur

6. Limitation of Liability

FingerprintVS is not liable for:

  • Data loss due to misuse or failure to back up
  • Forgotten encryption keys
  • User error, hardware failure, or external breaches
  • Regulatory fines or violations due to your failure to comply with laws

7. No Guarantee of Results

Our software is provided “as is”, with no guarantees regarding:

  • Performance accuracy
  • Legal acceptance of fingerprint data by third parties
  • Software suitability for any specific legal or business outcome

8. Updates & Changes

We may update these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Continued use of the software after changes implies acceptance.
